Young Stunna Bags BET Awards Nomination
Young Stunna is flying the South African flag high after he was nominated for an award at the 2022 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
Earlier this week, the BET Network revealed on its Instagram account that the amapiano musician scored a nod in the Viewers Choice: Best New International Act category. His fellow nominees include Arya Starr (Nigeria) and Pheelz (Nigeria).
Stunna is the second Mzansi artist to be nominated at this year’s awards: Major League DJz are nominated for Best International Act alongside the likes of rapper Dave, singer-songwriter Fally Ipupa, and many more.
The 24-year-old “Bopha” hitmaker – real name Sandile Msimango – has been on a roll as of late: his collaboration with Kabza De Small, “Adiwele”, was recently nominated for Record of the Year at the 2022 South African Music Awards.
The BET Awards is set to air on 26 June – here’s hoping that Stunna will take home the trophy, so don’t forget to cast your vote, folks!
